Sadly, Marion Janet Wyld (Brown) died shortly after giving birth to my grandfather Claud Leonard Broun in 1879. Very little is known about her.
Like many of her recent ancestors, she was Anglo-Scottish, born (probably) in England but of mainly Scottish descent.
There are some photos I found in an old album belonging to my grandfather Claud Leonard Broun - most are of his father, but I think some may be of other ancestors of his. My guess is that some of those shown below could be of his mother because it is quite likely he would have kept the photos of his parents in one place. Perhaps you could have a look at them below and let me know if any are of her. A friend of mine who is quite adept at identifying faces has compared these pictures to those of her mother, father, son, and her siblings (not yet published). He has grouped them into three. He thinks that those in each row are probably of the same person, and the person in the first row the most likely candidate, and the person in the last row the least likely.
